Dave Monsch

Dave Monsch was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. and raised in a very musical environment, as his parents were both musicians and educators. Dave began saxophone lessons at an early age, studying with Cy Hays, a well known saxophonist in the Pittsburgh area. Dave continued his studies through High School and into college, which brought him down south, where he attended the University of North Texas in Denton. After graduating with a BA in Jazz Performance, he pursued a wide variety of musical paths. After a brief stint in New York City, he now calls Dallas his home. Dave is currently very active in the original Jazz, Big Band, Avant Garde, and the straight ahead music scene in DFW. In addition, he performs/records with groups spanning all styles and genres.
